Already a long-distance driving record holder, Chris will deal with all of the communications during the attempt. As well as satellite comms for voice and data transfers, he will handle all VHF comms between the cars. more>
Jim is an experienced 'overland' driver and mechanic and will be responsible for vehicle preparation and equipment prior to the challenge. During the attempt, his knowledge of the route and navigation will be put to the extreme test. more>
As a doctor specialising in wilderness and remote area medicine, Andy is responsible for team preparation and welfare. This includes vaccinations, diet, hygiene and medical emergencies. more>
Will and fellow TV colleague Jack Burnford will be putting together the coverage of the record attempt, documenting the preparation and realisation of the record challenge. more>
Jack makes up the other half of the production unit on the trip. Jack is well versed in all aspects of both travel and motoring having worked on Top Gear and the Gumball 3000. more>
