Mac to chair 'Vehicle Expeditions' at RGS Explore 2009

Geography Outdoors, within the Royal Geographical Society, is the centre supporting field research, exploration and outdoor learning (formerly the Expedition Advisory Centre) and provides information, training and advice to anyone involved in expeditions, field research or outdoor learning in the UK and overseas. It is the leading such centre in the world.

One of Geography Outdoor's most popular events is the 'Explore' weekend, the annual expedition planning seminar. Held in November at the Royal Geographical Society in London, Explore provides around 250 delegates with unprecedented access to 100 experienced expedition leaders and outdoor experts. If you are planning your own expedition, Explore (now in its fourth decade) is the unmissable event of your expedition year.

The weekend is sub-divided into different areas of interest:

Polar & Arctic
Tropical Forest
Desert & Savanna
Vehicle Dependent Expeditions

With 14 years experience in vehicle expeditions from the high-Arctic to Sahara, Mac will be available to share his vast knowledge to those embarking on a vehicle-based expedition. A team of experienced panelists will also be on hand to pass on their knowledge.
