11:00 :: As usual, pushed my brinkmanship to the limit and made the flight out to Norway by a very reasonable 1½ minutes to lockdown of the departure gate – things improving! Great to catch up with the team and jet off on our training run.
After a really kind send off at Oslo’s main Land Rover dealer, Motorpool, it was straight into the long night. Jim had prepared the car fantastically with it’s assortment of technical gizmos and as Jack and I are gadget freaks, we love it!
Didn’t feel too tired, so pushed on driving to 6am after getting behind the wheel at 10pm – a good start and great to put some miles on the clock. Our car has a great feel and already the team are working well and sorting out our dynamics – looking good for Africa – but let’s get the next few days under our belts.
It’s now 08:30, I’m in the navigators seat, Jim’s having a rest and Jack doing well at the wheel. Passing by Hannover already…….!
