What a pratt! Had I had more time to plan I would have remembered that Austria was to be visited after Liechtenstein and we would not now be racing across northern Italy and up to the town of Villach.
It's all a good learning curve though and the reason that we are doing this hair brained drive around Europe. In our defence though we were tired and as none of is had visited Liechtenstein before we were all very excited to be driving into this little known country. It took a while to find the principality though as there was no customs office or even welcome sign. Eventually though we spotted tiny plaque on the bridge over the river separating it with Switzerland.
The Julier pass though was amazing. We were totally in the wilderness and the dark, snow and wind just adding to it's inhospitable nature. Because it was so wild I was in my element and relished being up there. The drive down to the valley floor and then south to Milan was equally as beautiful and impressive. As we wound our way across Germany with its boring autobahns and uninspiring scenery I has wondered why I had dragged the guys away from their families. As we drove through Switzerland though I knew why.

Hi Mac, It's been great following your progress to date, I for one think you and the team are doing a good job.
Keep up your spirits and the speed, If you break down drop me a line and I'll come and get you!!!
Joking apart the most important thing is to get there in one piece so don't take any risks and good luck with the rest of the Adventure.
