We eventually found Lichtenstein on a bridge! There was no border post and barely even a 'Welcome to Lichtenstein' sign. I guess that they are not that proud of their country.
Then heading into the mountains for the Julier Pass, temperature dropping and the snow falling. It was bloody cold on top and we felt that we had achieved a major landmark on the trip. I then went to bed and woke up in Milan, which was quite weird. It had been -24 when I went to bed and +23 degrees when I woke up! Everyone was in shorts and flip-flops and I was still wrapped up ready for the cold weather.
I took the wheel from Milan, via Austria and Slovenia and back to Milan. It was good to get Austria in as we had forgotten it before - oops! Slovenia with its Russian tank and Italy with nice motorways and lots of tunnels.
