Max Adventure Patrons hurt

Mac Mackenney | 8th Mar 2010

Mac Mackenney

Steve Burgess who led the Cape to Cape expedition has just called me up to tell me that both Ran and Stirling were injured last Saturday, just hours apart. It was shocking to hear that both our Patrons were injured on the same day, Stirling having fallen down a lift shaft and Ran in a car crash.

I've emailed both of them to wish them a speedy recovery and let them know that the Max Adventure team and our families are thinking of them. I've had word back from Stirling's Manager that he is doing well, which is a relief. Not many 80 year olds could survive a fall of 3 stories, but Stirling is still extremely fit, no doubt due to his hectic racing schedule.

From what I've heard, Ran is OK, but there is the worry about the young passengers in one of the cars that was involved, I hope that they're OK.

From all at Max Adventure, we wish you both well and hope that you are back to full health soon.

We'refinally off!

It’s not how I wanted it to be, all rushed, packing in disarray, unsure as to whether I had remembered everything and generally an air of chaos about the whole thing.
