The list covers everything you'll need, from passports and travel documents right down to clothing, camping equipment and even how many pairs of socks to bring!

Our aim is simple - to make sure every team arrives fully prepared and ready to enjoy the adventure.

If you're preparing your own vehicle, you'll be responsible for supplying the camping and expedition equipment needed for the journey.

Don't worry if you've never done anything like this before. We'll provide detailed guidance on exactly what to buy, what to avoid and where to obtain everything you'll need.

Travelling to Morocco is far simpler than many people imagine.

We'll provide a complete checklist of the documents you'll need before departure, including passport requirements, driving licences and vehicle paperwork.

For most nationalities, including UK citizens, no visa is required and neither is a Carnet de Passage.

There's no need for specialist expedition clothing.

Comfortable lightweight clothing suitable for warm daytime temperatures is ideal, while a warm fleece or jacket is recommended for cooler evenings in the desert and the drive through Europe.

Every participant receives an official Driven to Extremes desert shirt as part of their entry fee, with additional branded clothing available if required.

The only item many people won't already own is a pair of ski goggles, which are invaluable if we encounter a Saharan sandstorm.

Our desert camps are one of the highlights of the adventure.

A lightweight dome tent is all that's required. Expensive roof tents offer no advantage on this expedition and simply add unnecessary weight to the vehicle.

A three-season sleeping bag and either a self-inflating or foam sleeping mat will provide a comfortable night's sleep beneath the stars.

Each participant should carry a basic personal first aid kit together with any prescription medication they require.

Most overnight stops have shower facilities, so only normal toiletries such as soap, toothpaste and a towel are needed.

Every vehicle must carry at least 20 litres of water together with a minimum 24-hour emergency food supply.

Although we'll enjoy local restaurants and cafés whenever possible, there will be nights deep in the Sahara where you'll be cooking beneath the stars.

Simple meals prepared on a portable camping stove are more than adequate. There's no need for expensive dehydrated expedition food - supermarket tinned meals are often just as satisfying after a day in the desert.

Mobile phone coverage is available throughout much of Morocco, although the signal becomes limited in the more remote parts of the Sahara.

Many teams choose to purchase a Moroccan SIM card before entering the country to reduce roaming costs while still being able to use WhatsApp to keep in touch with friends and family.

Every vehicle is supplied with a UHF radio as part of the entry fee, allowing reliable communication between vehicles throughout the convoy.

Our support vehicles also carry satellite communications for emergency use should they ever be required.

Teams bringing their own vehicles will receive a recommended tool and spare parts list before departure.

Most items are standard workshop tools that many owners already possess, together with a few expedition essentials such as a portable air compressor for adjusting tyre pressures on different terrain.

We'll also advise you on the consumable spare parts that should be carried to maximise reliability throughout the journey.

Teams hiring one of our fully prepared expedition vehicles do not need to purchase or carry specialist tools or spare parts, as these are already provided as part of the vehicle package.
